On Sunday morning I decided to take a long bike riding journey, seventy miles to be exact, probably more, but who's counting.
My journey took me from downtown Minneapolis all the way to Chanhassen, along the southwest metro regional bike trail. The weather was absolutely perfect, it was truly a blessing.
As my healthy living lifestyle has spanned nearly eight months now, I am now in fully marathon training for the next four weeks as a prepare my mind, body, and soul for the Twin Cities Marathon. It will be my fifth competitive race of the year and certainly my longest.
My first week includes four days of interval training, today I will run 12-miles at a normal pace, shooting for 8 minute miles today.
My motto for today: keep your eye on the prize and don't look back.
